Second Verse

Complete AU
Background Info: In 1989 Duke, Anna, & Robin really left town changing their names and everything, there was no warehouse explosion; so the three have been happily living in Scotland. The show�s story lines are basically the same only taking out Anna & Robin. Robert is the Police Commissioner and Mac owns the Outback with Felicia. Sonny is the current Mob boss and the Jason Morgan is his right hand man. Some other things will be changed but I will explain them the story.

McKay Estate
Stonehaven, Scotland

Duke walked into the large library, pausing briefly to taking in the site of his beautiful wife Anna lounging in an overstuff chair across from the fire. He could tell she was engrossed in the book she was reading but he could also tell she was worried about something else more important. He silently walks over to her and stands behind the chair, seeing that in her hands was an old photo album, filled with pictures of Robin. He watched as she loving traced a picture taken three years ago on Robin�s 17th birthday, Duke had his arms around both Anna and Robin, while Robin impishly smeared icing on his face. That in turn had lead to an all out cake fight between the three; eventually Robin and Anna double teamed him, leaving him cover in icing. Duke gently put his arms around Anna in silent comfort waiting for her to speak.

Anna: (quietly) I�m scared for her Duke.

Duke: I know so am I, but this is for the best.

Anna: (turns and kisses Duke�s cheek) Are you sure he�ll be able to protect her?

Duke: (moves to sit in the chair with Anna) Yes, he has a strong network in Port-Charles she�ll be save there. I just got off the phone with Michael; he�s going to assign his second in command, Jason Morgan, as her bodyguard. She�ll be living across the hall from Michael�s penthouse with Jason, he assured me no one reaches that floor without going thought a lest five guards, not included the one on the door. Besides I sent Douglas with Robin for extra protection.

Anna: (snuggling into Duke�s embrace) That�s good to know, but are you positive you can trust Michael?

Duke: Yeah, he�s like my little brother. Back in New York, he worked for me as a runner and lived on the street to get away from his abusive stepfather. One night we got talking and he told me everything, you see his stepfather, Deke, was a dirty cop, who liked to hit his family; Michael was trying to get up enough money to leave New York with his mother Adela. Every time he tried to get Adela to leave Deke, Deke would beat her senseless, Michael has just visited her in the hospital the day before and said Deke had come very close to killing her this time. That night I promised him I would help, so the next day I planted a setup for Deke, he walked right in the trap and was killed. Everyone knew it was a mob hit but no one seemed to really care, anyway since he was a cop killed in the line of duty Adela received his pension and didn�t have to worry about money. Michael moved back into the house and continued to work for the mob, unfortunately two years later Adela died of cancer, but when I talked to Michael at the service he told me it was two of the happiest years of her life. He said if I ever needed anything he would be there for me, I never really needed anything until now though and he jumped at the chance to help; so I know he can be trusted.

Anna: That was a nice thing to do for him, I�m proud of you. (looks at her watch) it�s getting late, do you want to go to bed?

Duke: (smiling roguishly) With you, anytime.

Private Runway
Port Charles, New York

Michael �Sonny� Corinthos Jr. and Jason Morgan were both leaning up against the side of the limo, anxiously waiting for the jet to land. Every so often Sonny would look at his watch and then pace a little, if it didn�t bug Jason so much he would have thought it funny. Jason looks over to Sonny as he starts pacing again and sighs, thinking he better distract his boss before he goes crazy.

Jason: So, who are we meeting?

Sonny: (stops pacing and turns to Jason) My old friend Duke�s daughter.

Jason: (nods his head) Okay, Why?

Sonny: Duke left the mob back in �89 and joined the witness protection program; the Jeromes�s were threatening his wife and daughter, so he said if they didn�t leave them alone he would take them all down. They didn�t listen so he turned everything he knew over to Commissioner Scorpio and then left town with his wife and daughter, Scorpio in turn tracked them all down with a vengeance and put every one of them behind bars. So everyone�s happy, but now someone has been making threats against Duke�s daughter, she was almost kidnapped two weeks ago. That was the breaking point for Duke, so he called me and called in an old debt. He�s sending his daughter here under my protection while he tries to eliminate the threat.

Jason: (confused) This guy helped the police and you're still going to help him, why?

Sonny: (looks directly into Jason eye) Remember what I told you about Deke (Jason nods) this is the guy who took him out for me. He saved my mother and me from that monster and I told him if he ever needed anything I would be there for him. He was like my big brother and never asked me for anything �til now and I�m not going to let him down when it's this important.

Jason: (nods in understanding) So what are you going to do with her?

Sonny: I�m assigning you as her main bodyguard and she�ll live with you in the penthouse.

Jason: (shocked) What, I�m not a bodyguard.

Sonny: No, you�re not but you are the only person I trust with my life and you�re the only person I am going to trust with hers. Okay?

Jason: (seriously) Okay, I promise nothing will happen to her. (curiously) Do you know what she's like?

Sonny: Nope, Duke didn�t tell me anything except that she is the most important thing in his and his wife�s lives.

Before Jason can comment a personal jet lands on the runway. Both men start walking towards the jet with their bodyguards trailing behind them. The stairs lower and a man about 6�3� with dark brown hair and serious gray eyes steps out and walks down the stairs towards Jason and Sonny.

Man: (with a deep Scottish accent) Hello, is one of you Michael Corinthos?

Sonny: (wondering who this man is) Yeah, I�m Michael. (politely) Who are you?

Man: (hold out his hand) I�m Douglas McKay, I�m the little one�s uncle.

Sonny: (nods, shaking his hand) Nice to meet you (turns to Jason) this is my second in command and Robin's new bodyguard Jason Morgan.

Jason: (shakes his hand) Nice to meet you, Mr. McKay. (Jason�s next sentence catches in his throat as he looks to the top of the stairs as a striking young woman appears. She�s about 5�1� with long chestnut brown hair and warm inviting brown eyes. He clears his throat trying to get over how beautiful she looks.) Hello.

Woman: (studying the man who spoke to her, thinking it should be a crime to be that handsome, she walks down the stairs and stands on the top step behind Douglas) Hello.

Jason: (nervously, he holds out his hand to her) I�m Jason Morgan.

Woman: (still looking him up and down, locking onto his beautiful blue eyes) I�m Scorpio McKay. (turns to Sonny and sticks out her hand) And you are?

Sonny: (takes her hand and kissed it, flashes his dimples) I�m Michael Corinthos Jr. but you can call me Sonny.

Scorpio: (smiles back at both Sonny and Jason) Well, you both can call me Robin when were in private. (both nod their heads in understanding about her name change) Now is Ruby still serving her famous chili, I promised Uncle Doug we could get some and I�m starved.

Jason: (smiles, liking her personality) Yeah, she still has it, but Kelly�s is closed today. Is there some place else you would like to go?

Robin: It�s been a while since I�ve been in Port Charles, what kind of restaurants are there now?

Sonny: Well, there are three really good ones. The Recovery Room, it�s near the hospital and gets a steady flow of doctors though it. Then there's The Outback, it has mostly Australian foods and some times they have a live band. And lastly there is Luke�s, it a blues bar and I happen to partly own it.

Robin: (thinks over her choices) Let�s go to the Outback, I haven�t had good Australian cooking since I left Port Charles.

Sonny: You got it. (turns to Francis) Makes sure their stuff gets to the penthouse then join us at the Outback.

Jason: (turns to Robin, trying to learn more about her) So you like Australian cooking?

Robin: I love it, but I could never find anyone in Scotland who prepares it right.

Sonny: (opens the door to the limo) Well you�ll love the Outback then, it�s own by an Australian.

Robin: (gets into the Limo) I can�t wait.

The Outback

The Outback is packed tonight; it was Eddy Maine�s second tour and the Outback was the first venue. They had just finished their first set and Ned was sitting with his wife Lois and their best friend Brenda, waiting for the second set. The table next to them had Jax and his wife Chloe sitting with Jerry and Bobbie, they were chatting about the upcoming nurse's ball and what they were going to wear. Two tables over were Monica, Alan, Edward, AJ, and Lila Quartermaine, heatedly discussing Ned�s singing career and the affect it could have on ELQ. Across the room sat Emily and Nikolas on a double date with Lucky and Liz, both girls talking about their dress for the upcoming ball. Seated at the far end of the bar were Luke and Laura, who were idly chatting with Robert and Felicia while Mac tended to the bar.

Robert: (calling to Mac who�s at the other end of the bar) Hey, Little Brother what does it take to get a refill around here?

Mac: (finishes the drink he was making) When you actually start paying for your drinks.

Across the room the door opens admitting Sonny, Jason, Douglas, and Robin. Robin takes in the Australian themed decortications and smiles sadly as she thinks about her father, he would have liked this place. As they sit down at the table Robin looks around the room searching for any familiar faces, she stops at the bar where she sees Felicia. She is about to get and go say hi when she recognizes the man next to her.

Robin: (turns to Jason, trying to make sure it is him) Hey isn't that Robert Scorpio?

Jason: (turns to where she's looking, a little confused) Yeah, do you know him?

Robin: (smiling widely, again stunning Jason with here beauty) Know him, that's my daddy. (at that she stand up leaving both Jason and Sonny in a shocked silence. She sneaks up behind Robert and puts her hands over his eyes) Guess who?

Robert: (freezes when someone covers his eyes, then turns sharply when he recognizes the voice, astonished at seeing his daughter) Robin.

Robin: (grins impishly, seeing his stunned face) Hi, daddy I'm home.

Robert: (picks her up in a giant bear hug) My God, it good to see you. (sets her back down) What are you doing here, Luv?

Robin: Momma and Duke sent me here to live with one of Duke's old friend, while they take care of some business.

Robert: (concerned) You're in danger, Luv?

Robin: (looking down) Just a little, (looks up into his eyes) But don't worry daddy, Duke's sent Uncle Douglas with me and I'm staying with Duke's friend Michael Corinthos.

Robert: (chuckling, thinking she's joking) Did you say you were living with Sonny Corinthos (she nods her head, he angrily turns to see Sonny and Jason walking towards the bar, loudly drawing attention from everyone one in the restaurant) Corinthos, Why in the hell is my daughter staying with you?
