Subject: Things I Can Not Change Chap:3-8

Setting: Mike's bedroom

The night had been a long one for Jason. He sat by Robin's bedside, holding her hand, stroking her hair and listening to her breathe. Alan had come by with the equipment needed for the transfusion that Robin needed and had started her on antibiotics along with an IV for her protocol. During that whole time Jason didn't leave her side, it barely registered when Alan told them all that Robin's chances were not good, that she belonged in a hospital. It was only when Alan made a comment about Jason leaving that he responded. Exploded was more like it.

Flashback

Alan: "Jason, maybe it's not such a good thing for you to be here if she wakes up again."

Jason: "And why the hell would I leave her?"

Alan (getting angry): "Because it's what you're good at."

Jason (also angry): "Just where do you get off saying anything to me? I mean you're not exactly the best candidate for "Man of the Year", what with your criminal past and negligent ways with your family."

Alan (yelling): "Negligent? Who sat there and worked his ass off to get you to acknowledge your family?"

Jason: "I'm not talking about me Alan. I'm talking about how you treated AJ all his life and how you're being with Emily. When was the last time you saw her?"

Alan: You know, I understand how you know so much about negligence. I mean you neglected your relationship with Robin for so long you must be an expert by now."

Both men stood facing each other, more than ready to come to blows. Their common dislike for each other and their mutual worry over Robin compounded into something that would have erupted had Bobbie not walked into the room.

Bobbie: "Listen, both of you. Robin is our main concern here and if you two can't handle that then I suggest you both leave. I can handle things from here. But if you want to stay I warn you to put aside your petty arguments and let each other support Robin, understand?"

Jason looked at the ground, ashamed with his behavior. This was no way for him to act, not when Robin was in such bad shape. She needed Alan's help and Jason's support right now, for him to do anything that might jeopardize her well being was reprehensible. He looked at Bobbie with remorse in his eyes.

Jason: "You're right Bobbie. I'll leave so Alan can take care of her. Will you please come get me when he's finished so that I can go back in with her?"

Bobbie (nodding): "Yes. Thank you Jason."

Jason had left and gone into the livingroom with Mike to wait on more news of Robin's condition. An hour later, Alan came out, barely threw a glance in Jason's direction and left the apartment without a word.

Jason: "Bobbie?"

Bobbie: "The next 12 hours will be the most critical. We have to get that fever down. If we can do that, her chances will increase substantially."

Jason barely waited for Bobbie to finish before he was back at Robin's side, where he sat for the rest of the night.

The next morning Jason was still at Robin's side, trying desperately to coax her back into consciousness. Her fever had broken two hours ago and he gotten Bobbie to check her over. She said the antibiotics had begun to do their job and Robin should awaken within the next few days. Then Bobbie had placed yet another IV tube in Robin's arm so that she could get the fluids her body needed to mend itself. She then left again to fix something for them all to eat and to get ready for her rounds at the hospital. When breakfast was ready she went to get Jason and was not at all surprised to find him asleep, his head resting on the bed next to Robin and her hand nestled inside his. A smile played about his lips and she wondered briefly if it was the news of Robin's improvement or dreams of happier times the couple had shared or maybe just visions of what could be, if fate would allow them another chance to get it right. Bobbie shook her head. No not fate. Robin would be the deciding factor. It was up to her whether or not she could forgive Jason and she knew Jason would have a lot of work to do. Bobbie knew the fight between Jason and Alan was not really because they hated each other but because each was aware of the other's past and of their own inability or unwillingness to protect the ones they loved. He'd told her about their conversation the night before, the fear she showed at the mention of her husband and the anger that was directed at Jason. Whoever her husband was, this incident was because of him and Jason knew it. There was nothing Jason wouldn't do to find him and make him pay. Bobbie just hoped that the price of revenge wouldn't be Robin. Either Jason's losing her for good or Robin not surviving the next attack. This one had been far too close a call to ever repeat again.

Chap:4
Setting: An Inn outside of Albany

A man sits in his room holding a picture of a young woman in his hands. He raises a finger to trace the curve of her face. His eyes linger over the innocent smile, the deep dark eyes and the long dark hair. This woman held his heart, had captivated his senses and soon he would get her back.

Man(stroking the picture): "Robin, I will find you. You will be mine once more, whatever I have to do. In fact I do believe it is time for you to know I am nearby."

Setting: Mike's bedroom

Robin shifted on the bed uncomfortably. The sudden movement caused the wound in her side to be pulled and she hissed in pain. She moved to cover it with her hand but found herself unable to. Robin looked down to see Jason laying on the bed, her hand in his and his forehead creased in a frown. She knew the worry was over her and she was slightly surprised to understand that he had probably spent the night there. Lifting her free hand she gently stroked his hair and then let her fingers trace a path down the side of his face. In doing so she caught a glimpse of the rings on her fingers and she recoiled, flinching and crying out.

Robin(whispers): "Oh God. I have to get out of here before he comes."

Jason(awakened by her cry): "You can't go anywhere just yet Robin. You're hurt too badly."

Robin: "Jason, you don't understand. He's going to come after me."

Jason: "First of all, who is " he? And second for all we know he could think you're dead. That wound in your side was pretty severe."

Robin drew her lips in again and shook her head. She knew he would be coming, it was only a matter of time.

Jason: "Can you at least tell me what hurt you? I mean that doesn't look like it was caused by a bullet or a knife. Was it glass or what?"

Robin: "It was part of a bullet."

Jason: "Part of a bullet?"

Robin: "Yes, it was part of a yellowjacket that had ricocheted off a set of metal shelves. I was running and it caught me in the side." (Mutters to herself) "Never would have happened if my damn cell phone hadn't rung just then. He never would have known I was there."

Jason: "Who wouldn't have? Your husband?"

Robin(surprised): "You heard that?"

Jason starts to answer when they both hear music from the livingroom.

Jason: "Mike must have turned on the radio."

Suddenly they hear the DJ come on.

DJ: "All right ladies and gentlemen, we have a song request from a young man who is trying desperately to find his runaway bride Robin. So Robin if you're out there listening, this is from Greg with all his love.

Escape By Enrique Iglesias

You can run, you can hide
But you can't escape my love)

Here's how it goes, you and me, up and down at this time
We'll get right, where to fight
Cause love is something you can't shake
When it breaks
All it takes is some trying

If you feel like leaving
I'm not gonna make you stay
Soon you'll be finding
You can run, you can hide
But you can't escape my love

You can run, you can hide
But you can't escape my love

So if you go
You should know
It's hard to just forget the past to pass
It was good, it was bad but it was real
And that's all you get in the end of the matter

Here's how it goes
All it takes is some trying
You can run, you can hide
But you can't escape my love

Jason looks at Robin who is shaking uncontrollably her eyes welling with tears.

Robin(crying): "You see Jason? Do you see? He knows I'm alive and he'll stop at nothing until he finds me. Oh God, what am I going to do?"

Jason: "Calm down Robin. It'll be all right. Look if you want we can call your uncle or your mom..."

Robin: "How did you know my mom was alive?"

Jason(looking away): "I asked Felicia how you were doing and she told me about Anna being alive."

Robin: "I don't think involving my family is a good idea. Greg is a very dangerous man and I don't want any of them getting hurt. In fact, Jason I think maybe you should just forget all about this."

Jason(shaking his head): "No. I'm not walking away again. I was stupid before and look what happened to you. I'm not making that mistake for a third time. I'm in this for the long haul, whether you want me here or not."

Robin looked at Jason, at the determined look on his face and knew, without a doubt, he meant what he was saying. His guilt was going to keep him plastered to her side until he had made up for what he'd done.

Jason(softly): "It's not just because I made a terrible mistake before Robin. It's because I still care."

Robin refused to look him in the eye, refused to acknowledge that maybe he was telling the truth. Letting him in again would only result in her getting hurt in a way that would make the hole in her side a welcome feeling. They would work together on this and then Robin would make sure they went their seperate ways once and for all. When she was rid of Greg she would leave behind Jason Morgan and never look back.

Chap:5

Setting: The Fountain in the Park

A few weeks have passed and Bobbie has deemed Robin fit to be moved and to walk around so Jason, against his better judgement, checked them both into the Cosmopolitan Hotel and then took her to the park. He'd been watching over his shoulder for the last hour and it was grating on her nerves. They sat side by side on the edge of the fountain.

Robin(clenching her teeth): "Jason, if you don't stop being so paranoid, I'm going to kick your ass myself."

Jason(smirks at her obscenity): "I would love to see you try Ms. Scorpio. Especially in your condition."

Robin reached out a hand to smack him and unfortunately misjudged the distance, straining the wound in her side.

Robin(flinching and holding her side): "Ahh!"

Jason(steadying her): "Robin! Hold still, the pain will pass. Let me look at your side."

Robin pulled away, wincing as her side was pulled again.

Robin: "I don't need your help Jason. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

Jason(agitated): "As that hole in your side so adequately shows."

He knew he should have kept that remark to himself as he saw her eyes pool with tears and she turned her back on him. This wasn't like Carly and her crocodile tears, he'd genuinely hurt her feelings. He scooted closer to her and rubbed her back gently. It tore at his heart to see her so beaten like this. And it wasn't all because of Greg.

Jason: "I'm sorry Robin. That was uncalled for."

Robin: "Oh no. You're right, stupid Robin can't take care of herself. Gets herself married to a man like Greg and then manages to nearly get herself killed. God! If my parents or Mac knew what has been going on they'd be so disappointed an ashamed. Thank God they don't, I mean it's bad enough that you, Bobbie, Mike and (pauses) Stone know about it." She shakes her head dismally.

Jason: "But your wrong Robin. About all of it. No one would be ashamed of you. We all make mistakes, I mean look at me with Carly and Michael. That's something to be ashamed about. Not falling in love with somebody(she sees his hurt at this thought) and being wrong about who they were. And you're not stupid. You're one of the smartest people I know and for this to happen is a travesty. And my third and final point is none of us know about this. We don't know what happened. Please Robin, please tell me."

He'd been begging her to tell him how this all started for weeks. Finally his words broke through a part of the barrier she'd erected.

Robin: "I met Greg at the clinic where I volunteered. He was nice and smart and we got along well. but you're wrong about something."

She looks at Jason and sees his look of curiosity. She wanted to erase his pain and she hoped her next sentence would do that.

Robin: "I wasn't in love with Greg."

Jason(relief and confusion evident in his voice): "Then why'd you marry him?"

Robin pauses and knows that in a way her answer will hurt him worse than if she had been in love with Greg.

Robin: "He'd been asking me out for months and I couldn't bring myself to say yes until..."

Jason(prompts her): "Until?"

Robin(sighs): "Until he told me he had cancer. He was dying a little more every day. And when he told me that, all I could see was Stone and the way he looked before he died. Stone had so many people around him, people who loved him and I didn't want Greg to be alone so I agreed to go out with him. I mean so what if I didn't feel like that about him. Look what happened when I was with a man I loved."

Her tone is bitter and she feels Jason stiffen behind her. And while Robin hates herself for causing him pain, she can't help but feel slightly vindicated for all she's been through.

Robin: "After we'd been going out awhile, Greg started getting sicker and soon we had to stay indoors all the time. And finally he told me what his final request was, he wanted me to marry him. I looked in his eyes Jason, I looked in them and only saw pain and loneliness and I wanted to help him so I said yes. A week later we were married and it was nice. We didn't have a honeymoon, but we went to his family's chateau in Switzerland so he could be around his family. And that's when a doctor kept coming day after day to see Greg, he said there was a possibility that he could help with Greg's cancer. A new, untested drug called Leukodyglastis, which was supposed to inhibit the production of the blasts in Greg's system."

Jason(interupts): "He had myeloid leukemia?"

Robin(nods): "Yes, and Greg told me he'd done everything short of a bone marrow transplant and that's because he hadn't found a suitable donor. So Greg told me he was going to try the drug, it would be injected into his arm and it would open the marrow pathways while killing off the dangerous blasts. He did this for awhile and he started to get better. It looked like a miracle and I started asking Dr. Marshal questions about the drug. That was my first mistake. One day Greg overheard me talking to the doctor and he grabbed my arm viciously and told me to never speak to Dr. Marshal again. That was the first time Greg had even raised his voice at me. At first I thought maybe it was a side effect from the drugs, but things just got worse. Greg got more and more violent as time went on and it wasn't long before I was sporting a black eye. Things kept going this way and even further, we'd never consumated our marriage because he was sick, but when he got better he made... he made..."

Throughout her account Robin had been emotionless, almost as though she were speaking of someone else. It wasn't until this poin that she started shaking and crying. Jason pulled into his arms.

Jason: "Shhh. Shhh, Robin. It's okay, you don't have to tell me. Just tell me what happened after that."

After a minute of sobbing on Jason's shoulder Robin was able to continue, though her voice wavered.

Robin: "About two months after the treatments began, I ran into a colleague of Dr. Marshal's and we began talking. Dr. Byrnes, that was Marshal's colleague, told me that Marshal was hired by Greg to make up a batch Methadone Hydrochloride that was stronger in potency. That's what Greg had been taking all that time. Greg was never sick, not with cancer anyway. He was coming off of a high every time I saw him. Unfortunately it wasn't the common effects from drug use, so I didn't recognize the signs."

Jason: "But why tell you he was dying?"

Robin: "I found out from his sister, Debra, that he's been obsessed with me since we first met. He knew I didn't feel that way about him so he concocted this whole charade, basically to get me into bed. He wanted to own me and for awhile he did."

Jason: "How did the wound happen?"

Robin: "We were just outside of Port Charles when Greg stopped the car and went inside a warehouse. I don't think he even realized where we were and I know I should have just run away, but I wanted to know what was going on now. So I followed him inside, he was meeting with somebody, I couldn't see their face, he was selling yellow jackets and black angels to this guy. That's how he supports his habit. Anyway, my cell phone rang at the wrong time and as I tried to get out Greg fired at me, I'm not sure if he knew it was me or not at the time and the bullet hit the shelves and exploded and a piece tore into me and you know the rest."

Jason sat for a moment, absorbing all she'd told him. This guy Greg, was one sick bastard and Jason would do everything he could to help Robin be rid of this monster once and for all. But right now she needed to rest and get better. He stood up and took her hand.

Jason: "I'm glad you told me what happened. I'll do everything I can to help you and protect you. Let's go back to the Hotel now. You look tired."

Robin was very tired actually, so much so, that a wave of dizziness hit her and she had to grab onto Jason for support. She was about to step away when he picked her up in his arms and carried her back to the car. Too tired and comfortable to argue, she laid her head on his shoulder and let the exhaustion wash over her and she was asleep before they reached the car. Jason opened the door and set her in the front seat gently. Fastening her in, he stopped and brushed a kiss across her forehead and murmured "I love you" before pulling out and going to his side and taking them home.

Author's Note: "Leukodyglastis" is my own invented name. Any resemblance to any real treatments is purely coincidental. I wouldn't normally make up a treatment, but I figure if Port Charles could with that whole DL-56 thing a few years back, what harm could it do. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this.

Chap:6

Setting: A small church in Paris

A woman enters the chapel and makes her way to the alter. She takes out a match and lights one of the candles there. Her hand shakes as the wick catches fire and the light dances across her dark hair and is reflected in her equally dark eyes. Those eyes are filled with sadness and begin to tear as she whispers a prayer to a God she isn't entirely sure hasn't forgotten about this world.

Woman: "Please God. Let Robin be alright. It's been weeks since I heard from her. Please, please don't let Greg have found her."

And then her eyes unfocus as she conjures up the memory of a friend she knows looks out for her and Robin.

Woman: "Stone, if you can hear me, make sure that she is alright. Make sure she is with someone who can protect her. Please, don't ask for her yet."

The woman gets up to leave and as she does she can almost hear a whisper in reply. She can feel a presence that gives her new strength. Setting her shoulders back, the woman makes her way out of the church and back to the flat she once shared with Robin. The time for waiting was over, now it's time for some action. And the first place to start is in Port Charles New York. It was time for them to remember the power she could wield. And it was now time to reclaim the life that was hers, the life that belonged to... Brenda Barret.

Chap:7

Setting: J&R's suite at the Cosmopolitan

Robin entered the sitting room of the suite she shared with Jason. She wished they had gotten seperate rooms entirely instead of adjoining rooms that allowed her to hear him when he was in the shower every morning. This morning had been particularly uncomfortable, she'd been half asleep still when he went in and the sound of water caused her to start dreaming. It wasn't all a dream, most of it was memory. Memories of surprising him in the shower, watching each drop of water roll its way through the ridges and valleys of his chest and stomach, the steam rising and covering the mirrors in a film and causing her hair to become damp before even entering the stall. She closed her eyes as the dream began to play once more through her mind.

She heard the water running and was about to leave the suite when she was suddenly in the bathroom, not sure how she got there but not willing to leave now that she was. Robin walked to the stall, Jason's silhouette visible through the glass, his head was bent and he had one hand resting on the wall. She opened the door, startling him for a moment, but then he straightened and beckoned to her. She walked in fully clothed not caring that there was still a barrier between them, only knowing that this was what she wanted. She moved to him and as his arms came around her she leaned up and kissed his ear softly. Then down the column of his neck, across his Adam's apple, along his jawline and finally his lips. The kiss was hot and steamy, putting the atmosphere of the shower to shame. Their lips touched over and over until, simultaneously they opened their mouths and began exploring each other's depths with their tongues. For some time they each battled for dominance in this sweet seduction until finally Robin surrendered to the assault, her senses swimming as Jason reached for the hem of her top and raised it over her head, moving swiftly to the clasp of her bra as his lips trailed fire along her shoulders and collarbone. Once he had freed her breasts of their confine, he placed kisses down her chest until he had taken one of her nipples between his teeth. He bit gently and rolled it between his tongue and the roof of his mouth, smiling slightly as he felt Robin's nails digging into his scalp as she moaned, arching her back and pushing his head further into her. His hands had been holding her ribcage on either side, just below the shoulderblades but they moved down the front of her body until they reached the front of her jeans and undid the button, slowly lowering the zipper and then pushing them down her hips. All the while still pleasuring her breasts. Finally after he felt it was time for more he knelt down on the tile (here's where the dream came in, for in her subconscious when she was with Jason everything was perfect) Jason ran a hand gently through the neatly trimmed curls that hid her from his view and then slid it down over her center, she bucked against his hand and fell heavily against the wall, using it for support. He parted her knees and then used one finger to penetrate her. Sliding in and out slowly he began moving her towards the edge of that precipice he so desperately wanted her to fall from. Robin's moans echoed over the tile and through the room, serving to arouse Jason even further. He added two more fingers to the first and used his thumb to manipilate her swollen bundle of nerves. With the first touch on her clitoris he sent her flying and when her orgasm had shuddered to a halt he stood up in front of her. His piercing blue eyes stared into her gentle brown ones as he lifted a hand to her face and kissed her, all the loning, passion and held in check desire came out in that kiss and they both groaned from the need for release, the uniting of their souls. She moved her tiny paw between them and took him in her grasp. Stroking him gently as he began to rock his hips to the rhythm and still they kissed. Finally Robin stopped storking him and used her hand to guide him inside of her. As he entered Robin was rocked by another wave and Jason, while only part way in was squeezed by her walls and was afraid he would lose it before they began. He waited for Robin to calm down and then pushed his way into her hot, tight passage completely. He picked her up by the hips and wrapped her legs around his waist driving him deeper until he could go no further. He used the wall to support her back as he began the motion of their hips, sliding in and out of the heated passage, her wetness surrounding him, drowning him in desire. All this time, their eyes had been open and they watched each other, gauging the reactions, Jason loved watching Robin's eyes widen and her mouth form a silent "o" as he touched the most sensitive spot inside of her. Robin watched as Jason's pupils dilated and the muscles in his jaw clenched as her walls tightened around him. Jason leaned in again as their pace grew faster and brought his mouth to hers, masking her scream of ecstacy as he thrust hard while twisting her bud in his fingers sending her over the edge in an orgasm more powerful than either of them had experienced before which caused her to squeeze him so tightly he wondered if he would ever be able to get loose and milking him to completion. As the exhaustion overcame them, Jason turned of the shower and reached out for a towel, he gently laid down on the tiles, still joined with Robin and pulled the towel over their bodies and they slept in peace.

She shook her head to clear the images and tried hard not to feel guilty about snapping at Jason so much she ran him out of the hotel. This whole thing wasn't fair. That dream was absurd and she refused to admit that it came from any continued feelings she had for Jason. She was over him and when this was over she would be rid of him. And that was final. She looked at the clock and saw that she had been standing in the middle of the room for nearly forty five minutes.

Robin(to herself): "See what being around Jason does? It makes you useless. You don't think straight."

An annoying little voice pried its way into her thoughts saying, 'You love him. You know you do. The longer you are with him the harder it will be for you to deny it.' Robin didn't just ignore the voice, she savagely bitch slapped it into submission until it was no more. That was it, she had to get out of here for awhile. Yes, Jason would be mad she'd gone out on her own, but she was a big girl. She didn't need Jason hovering around her with his perpetual "whiteknightitis". Robin left the sitting room and walked back to her bedroom noticing that the door to the balcony was open. Moving to close it Robin was distracted by a doll hanging by a string from the ceiling. There was a note attached. It read: You are my puppet, I am your master. Whether you believe it or not, whereever you go, I pull the strings. Robin's scream drowned out the sound of Jason coming into the suite and she was deaf to the sound of him running to her as she fell to the ground in a faint.

Setting: Sonny's Penthouse

Johnny stood guard outside Sonny's penthouse making sure that his meeting wasn't disturbed. The day had been uneventful except for Sonny's orders that they find Jason as he had disappeared again. There had been no luck in tracing him and Carly and Liz were becoming increasingly annoying in their pleas for his discovery. Johnny knew about the kiss between Liz and Jason, Jason, who never confided to him, had told him it was a passionless kiss that didn't serve to do anything but miss Robin more. Few people knew the extent of Jason's feelings for Robin, especially after all this time, but Johnny suspected that whereever he was, it was with her. Johnny looked at his watch and was about to knock on the door as schedualed when the sound of the elevator grabbed his attention. he turned around and nearly swallowed his tongue, there in front of him stood none other than Brenda Barret.

Brenda: "Tell him someone needs to talk to him about Robin. It's urgent and I don't have time for pleasantries.(snorts) Not like I'd give them if I had the time, what with the way he treated my little sister."

Johnny stood speechless for a moment until a glare from Brenda propelled him back to the door. He was stunned to say the least and with Sonny's remarriage to Carly coming up, it was hard to imagine what the fallout from this would be.

Chap:8

Setting: Sonny's Penthouse

Johnny knocked on the door quietly before entering. He saw Sonny on the couch with Benny and Tomas. Files were strewn around them and they were obviously having a heated discussion. Suddenly Sonny threw a file across the room and stood up to pace.

Sonny(shouting): "I don't care what happened in the past, this has got to end and it has got to end now!"

Benny: "If we knew where Jason is..."

Sonny(interrupts): " If we knew where Jason is he could help us. I know! But no one, not even Carly or Liz knows where he is. And everyone in this town knows the kind of tabs they keep on him."

Sonny stops mid pace and sees Johnny in the doorway looking nervous.

Sonny: "What is it Johnny?"

Johnny: "There's someone here to see you."

Sonny: "Tell them not now. I'm busy." He begins pacing again.

Johnny: "They said to tell you it was urgent. It's about Ms. Scorpio."

Again Sonny stops mid pace and whirls around towards Johnny. His face was ashen and it looked like he was having trouble breathing.

Sonny: "Robin? Do they know where she is?"

Johnny: "Perhaps you should talk to them sir."

Sonny: "Yeah, you're right. Send them in."

He turns from the door and looks at Benny and Tomas his dark eyes even more brooding wondering who this person was and what infromation they could have about Robin. Did they know where she was, why she'd disappeared? Were they here to ransom her or to help him find her? God he needed answers, he couldn't let Robin be hurt again. He had to protect her. He had to. Sonny turns as he hears Johnny and the visitor enter the Penthouse. Not really paying attention at first he begins asking questions.

Sonny: "So what do you have to tell me about Robin Scor..."

He trails off as he catches sight of who is standing in front of him hands on hips and dark eyes blazing with anger and contempt. Almost all of it was for him, although if Jason were here Sonny was sure he'd catch about a third of the rage she was feeling.

Sonny: "Oh my God Brenda, I though you were..."

Brenda: "Dead? Yes, it's what everyone thought. I had to disappear for a while. It was the best thing for my health. What about Robin though Sonny? Did she have to leave Port Charles for her health? Or was it just for her sanity? Trying to escape the tarty little loony bitch Jason decided to let into his and Robin's bed. How could you break your promise to Stone like that? How could you choose Jason over the girl you called a member of your family. Who never once judged you or even took my side over yours. And we have been best friends far longer than even Jason Quartermaine had been in this city let alone you having known Jason Morgan. When I wore the wire and we ended it, Robin told me that as much as she hurt for me and my pain, she hurt for yours too. She told me she had come to love and respect you beyond anything she had thought possible, that you even reminded her a little of Duke in the way you put family above everything else. Do have any idea how much courage it took for her to tell me that then? To tell me she loved me and the man that had thrown me out of his life? But then again, that's just how Robin is. She tells people things they don't want to hear, she tells them the truth and while that truth benefited you and Jason, it was one of the things you loved about her, but as soon as it was a secret Jason didn't want known, well that was it. That was a reason for you both to throw her out of your lives for good. When Carly is allowed to continually lie to suit herself, be everything Jason hated about the Quartermaines and it's okey dokey with the both of you. How could you do that to her?"

Sonny flinched at every word Brenda threw in his face. She was wasting no words and no time to let him know just how disgusting she thought he was for the way he'd left his "little sister".

Sonny: "Brenda, when that came around, I was still hurting over you."

Brenda: "And Robin was just fine with it? Was totally over it and didn't need anyone in her corner to hold her and help her remember me?"

Sonny: "Jason told me that when she thought he wasn't looking she would get this sad look on her face or she would cry by herself if she thought he wasn't around."

Brenda: "That's because she was Robin. Being strong for everybody else when inside she feels like her world is ending. But let's go back to your reason Sonny, if the reason you treated her like garbage then was because you were mourning me, why, when you were getting married to Carly and Robin tried to reach out to you at the Nurse's Ball, tried to connect with you over your shared experiences with Stone, did you turn your back on her again? Basically telling her she wasn't worthy of your time?"

Sonny had no words to answer her. His mouth kept opening and closing, but no words would come. He'd never not been able to answer Brenda before, had never had her lay into him like this before. Not even with the many times that he had hurt her, had thrown her away. But then again, never had he hurt Robin while Brenda had been there. Never had he put Brenda's surrogate sister through the kind of pain he had after Brenda had "died".

Brenda: "While you try to come up with an excuse that might justify it in your head I'll tell you why I'm here. Robin was on her way to Port Charles with her husband..."

Sonny: "Husband?"

Brenda: "Yes, now shutup and listen. She was on her way here with him when I lost all contact with her. She hasn't called me once and I've seen him numerous times in Paris since then."

Sonny: "If something's wrong why hasn't he called anyone?"

Brenda: "Because he's probably the cause of whatever is wrong."

Sonny: "What?"

Brenda: "Yeah, he tricked Robin into marrying him by saying he was sick, well he is sick, he's a sick sadistic bastard who gets off on causing Robin pain. Gee, remind you of anyone we know?"

Sonny: "Jason never liked causing Robin pain!"

Brenda: "Oh no? Then why did he choose a child that wasn't his and said child's psycho mother over Robin? Over the woman he swore that he loved and would never hurt no matter what? Tell me, did Jason know that Robin was actually thinking of possibly having a baby with him? But she never brought it up did she? Why? Because Jason was too busy chasing after a new way to get back at the Quartermaines, that's why. That whole thing wasn't even really about Michael, it was about getting revenge on AJ for getting in that accident."

Again, Sonny is left with nothing to say. What can he say?

Brenda: "Anyway, this is not what's important right now. What's important is finding Robin and making sure she's ok."

Sonny: "That may not be so easy."

Brenda: "Why not? Your information highway not what it used to be? Maybe you should start surfing the web."

Sonny: "It may not be that easy, because her husband may not be the one behind her disappearance."

Brenda(scoffs): "Oh yeah? Then who? That idiot who kidnapped Elizabeth Webber a while back?"

Sonny: "No. Serge Cassadine. Aka: Paul Jerome or maybe he's using a name from the other side of his family."

Brenda: "And that would be?"

Sonny: "Viktor Faison."

Brenda: "Before I panic over the use of all the names that were enemies of Robin's parents, what do you know about this guy?"

Sonny: "He father was Mikos Cassadine, his mother was Emmeline Faison. The Faison empire is just as prosperous if not more than the Cassadine empire. And Viktor was the second born son to. He and Cesar conspired to and then carried out the murder of Saul Du Pre who was the second son of Count Du Pre in France. So while Saul would not inherit the Count's estate he stood to inherit the Faison empire. So now that Cesar is good and dead, or so we hope, as are Emmeline and Mikos, Serge Viktor Faion Cassadine is alive and well in a Chateau in Switzerland living with his God Parents, Mark and Pauline Christopher. Count Du Pre's first son Leo lives in Pine Valley, as does Robin's mother who was thought to have been killed by Cesar. And he was also the God son of Victor Jerome whose family was in part if not entirely responsible for the death of Robin's step father Duke. So you can see how this is all connected."

Brenda(puzzled): "What did you say the name of Serge's God parent's was?"

Sonny: " Mark and Pauline Christopher."

Brenda: "And do they have a daughter?"

Sonny: "Yes, her name is Debra. Why?"

Brenda(pales): "Oh my God! That's Greg's family! Greg is Serge. Sonny what are we going to do?"

Sonny was so shocked, he had to sit down before his knees gave out. Everything in Robin's life was connected. Every single enemy of her parents was connected to one person. The person who had been able to insinuate his way into her life, her trust. And now she was missing, but he wasn't.

Sonny: "We've got to find her. We've got to find her now!"
