Subject: THE FUNERAL (SHORT STORY)

Robin sat next to Her Uncle in the church barely hearing the words of the priest. She had heard them many times before.

Robin had attened many memorial services in her young life. Her parents, Uncle Duke twice, Stone and so many others. But she never got used to attending a funeral.

The sadness she felt in losing her friend was real and now she watched the casket leaving the church followed by the crying family members.

Robin then got up and left the church with her Uncle and went home with him.

That night Robin had this feeling and headed to the cemtary and came up to one of its newest grave. As Robin came up to the grave she saw someone there. Robin knew right away who it was.

Robin: I'm so sorry Jason.

A tearful Jason turned to face Robin.

Jason: WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE? SHE DID NOT DESERVE IT.

Robin stared at Jason wishing she could answer his question. She looked up at the sky wishing that god would give her the answer. But she heard none.

Robin put her arms around Jason and held on to him as he contiued to cry.

Robin: I don't know. I have seen os many people die and I ask myself the same question but I still don't know.

Jason: Emily was so young. She and Zander were so happy. She didn't deserve to be inthat grave.

Robin looked at Emily's grave for a few seconds.

Robin: I can't answer your question. All I can tell you is that you will live with the pain. It will take time but youi will go on.

Jason walked up to EMily's grave and began to cry again.

Jason: I MISS EMILY SO MUCH!

RObin: I know. I miss her to.

Jason looks at Robin.

Jason: Can you forgive me?

Robin: For what?

Jason: For what I did to you. When Sonny told me about Emily being dead I thought about my life and my bigest mistake was what I did to you.

I never stopped loving you.

Robin had tears in her eyes.

Robin: I never stopped loving you. One of the last letters Emily wrote to me was about you. She told me that she believed that we belonged together and that we would find our way back to each other.

Jason: Emily told me the same thing. When I was close to Liz Emily said that I was only with her because she reminded me of you.

And she was right.

Can we be together again? ISthere hope for us?

Robin: No.

Jason looked down in sadness.

Jason: I understand. I will leave you alone.

Jason began toleave. Robin ran after him

Robin: JASON.

Jason turned to face Robin.

Jason: What?

Robin: I am not ready for us right now. we need to take things slowly. I can't have my heart broken again.

Jason: Give me a chance to earn your trust.

Robin: It will take awhile. I need to remember the old Jason. The one Who took me to Mountak. You are not the Jason I fell in love with.

Jason smiled at Robin.

Jason: I can't find him alone. I could use some help in finding him?

Robin smiles back.

Robin: Sounds like a challenge and I love a good challenge.

Jason:My bike is by the road. Need a ride back into Port CHarles?

Robin: Sounds like fun.

Jason puts his arm around Robin as they walk toward his bike. They both get on and ride toward Port Chalres.
