I agree absolutely. Lane WAS Mason. I remember before the episode when Terry Lester was to make his first appearance as Mason, my mom and I were all set to hate the new guy. But we were actually relieved when he came on, because he didn’t resemble Lane at all, & so it was possible to think of him as a different character altogether – that’s how we approached “Mason” from then on!!
