The mouse blinked, staring blankly in slight shock and surprise at the stranger--no, Paisano.--as he--well, to say it plainly, bowed to her and introduced himself with a kiss to her paw.

Woah. Leave for a little vacation and when you come back, you have rather cute--ehh, a stranger bowing and kissing yer paws...

"Ahm--I'm flattered, sir," she said, smiling, and [for prolly the first time ever..] mentally cursing the accent that had always refused to wear away.
"Th' name's Ari--Arilyn Vayala, bard and gypsy, and--so I'm told--some sort of commander or some-such of 'ere."
She took a paw to her own wide-brimmed hat, dipping it in a small salute.

The salute was really more than that; it gave her a chance to duck her head and kill the blush that was threatening to creep upon her face, as well as allowing her a split-second to take a look over her new companion.

The mouse was just a bit taller than she was--Ari was, perhaps, cursed with a height feature. While she couldn't be said to be the shortest mouse, it often seemed that she was forever craning her neck to look anyone in the face. Paisano's outfit was certaintly something for one to gawk at; tastefully designed, or so it seemed to Ari; she liked it.
On a sudden impulse, she flashed a quick grin to Paisano, taking a step back, turning her small salute into a floor-sweeping bow that including removing the wide-broomed hat from her head, and, twirling it slightly in hew paw, letting it sweep across before replacing it again and standing.

"T'is a joy and honor to meet you, Paisano Abruz," she said, an almost mischivious twinkle in her eye. "When hav' ye passed through our parts, may I ask?
