在下佛學不是太深厚，但亦想獻醜討論一下這段佛偈。

「菩提本無樹，明鏡亦非臺。彿性常清淨，何處有塵埃？」
「心是菩提樹，身為明鏡臺。明鏡本清淨，何處染塵埃？」

這是閣下所謂的原句，並謂"本來無一物"一句違反佛學本意。我實在不敢苟同。

首先，菩堤既無樹，何來心是菩提樹？明鏡既非臺，身又怎會是明鏡臺呢？"菩提本無樹，明鏡亦非臺。"一句之深意非字面所見這麼簡單的！菩提指的是指佛性，亦即大智慧。"本無樹"意指非形體實物，亦即無我的思想。(我的意思在佛家口中是指本體，和因緣說有關)然而第二句卻反其道而行之，"心是菩提樹，身為明鏡臺。"一句卻是認為事物本身之本體存在！此一大問題也！

其次，"本來無一物"一句不但沒有違反佛理，反而整首詩之重點卻在一個"無"字！若閣下對佛學稍有研究，相信亦有聽過何謂"緣生性空"(或作緣起性空)，意指一切皆由因緣生，一切本皆無，故其性空。此一無字不但是整首佛偈中之重點所在，更一言以點出佛學之精髓，何來違反佛學之原理？

少少愚見，還望各方高人指點一二。
