在下佛學不是太深厚,但亦想獻醜討論一下這段佛偈。

「菩提本無樹,明鏡亦非臺。彿性常清淨,何處有塵埃?」
「心是菩提樹,身為明鏡臺。明鏡本清淨,何處染塵埃?」

這是閣下所謂的原句,並謂"本來無一物"一句違反佛學本意。我實在不敢苟同。

首先,菩堤既無樹,何來心是菩提樹?明鏡既非臺,身又怎會是明鏡臺呢?"菩提本無樹,明鏡亦非臺。"一句之深意非字面所見這麼簡單的!菩提指的是指佛性,亦即大智慧。"本無樹"意指非形體實物,亦即無我的思想。(我的意思在佛家口中是指本體,和因緣說有關)然而第二句卻反其道而行之,"心是菩提樹,身為明鏡臺。"一句卻是認為事物本身之本體存在!此一大問題也!

其次,"本來無一物"一句不但沒有違反佛理,反而整首詩之重點卻在一個"無"字!若閣下對佛學稍有研究,相信亦有聽過何謂"緣生性空"(或作緣起性空),意指一切皆由因緣生,一切本皆無,故其性空。此一無字不但是整首佛偈中之重點所在,更一言以點出佛學之精髓,何來違反佛學之原理?

少少愚見,還望各方高人指點一二。
