I think this is an extremely serious problem. The objective of Caritas vouchers are to donate money to the needy by heart, but not by PUNISHMENT or PENALTY. Forgetting to bring textbooks to class or any misbehaviour are something that studnets should be responsible for, but students should react by improving their behaviour, NOT by giving money to Caritas.
Some teachers may think that students should donate money to Caritas because $20 is not a big amount. But if the money is not donated by heart, does it really meet the objective of the charity?

Thank you Mr Kung. This is my first time for posting a message here while a teacher agrees with my opinion.
Every year I saw the 'huge' charity amount of the Caritas vouchers, and I suspected how much is really donated by heart, especially for those classes having $1000 and above: if there were 40 students in a class, each student would have to donate $25. Maybe there were many students forced to 'donate' money by their teachers because of their misbehaviour.
I am waiting to see this year's 'result' and all of you may also guess how many 'real' donation we get. Haha.
Maybe some teachers have to think deeply and not to put the cart before the horse.

跳唔跳係自身的權力,冇帶野比人罰係應該
但是冇啦啦比人用撕殺攻擊搞到跳阿伯來,真係好唔應該
又冇錯,但係都要跳!佢可能鍾意人地跳舞
但係冇理由要將自己的快樂建於人地的痛苦上!
我希望學校可以正視下呢個問題!!
