為公利和為私利是兩個截然不同的目標，據理力爭時便需要先搞清楚。

保釣、爭取中文合法化、艇戶、反對中大四改三、金禧、六四等事件之所以偉大，是因為當時的大學生，為爭取社會公義而甘願犧牲自己的時間、學業、人身安全，甚至是自己的前途；不純粹因為它們是學生運動。

中大擁有美麗的校園是不爭的事實，但她的成就並非只建基於一個美麗的校園。

如不懂善用資源，投資更多也可以造成浪費。

大學生如不能表現出他們擁有的特質，是推進社會發展的原動力，又如何說服社會人士增撥專上教育資源是一項正確的人力資源投資？

不斷反思，謀求改進，是邁向成功之道；君能深諳此理，值得高興。
