Hey, I did make a bookshelf way back in 8th grade. It was sort of tilted, though.

That must have been a cool lunch bag if your sister is still using it. lol

These shorts were easy. Didn't even use a pattern. They have an elastic band at the top. I think if you add buttons and zippers, the work increases ten-fold, so we'll be avoiding that.

Do you cross-stitch? I've tried that when I was pregnant with #1 son, but he was born early and I never finished the project. At least, I think it was cross-stitch. You make an x-pattern with your thread, right? What other kinds of projects can you do with cross-stitch besides wall-hangings? I was always puzzled what to do with it if I ever finished, but I kind of knew I wouldn't ever finish. lol
