Yeah, who in the world worked that one out?! They should be coming to Arute more than us leaving. Come on, CCSU are NEC 2 time champs! And a visit to New Haven too?!

Now truly, who would make such a lopsided schedule?!

I hope we show 'em all.

Hey Guys! It's been that way for at least 10 years. check it out! In only one year did we have more home games scheduled. The thing that gets me is we have lights yetwe don't play any games under the lights at Arute. Go figure that one out!

Very Dissapointing. It does no good at all for CCSU to play Southern...especially on their turf!

I disagree about Southern. IMO that is a very good game. They are a good DII team and a part of the CSU system. The rivalry (50 games) was one of the longest at the DII level. And let's face it Southern is historically the stronger program - they lead the series 35-15.

I would hope Central could HOST this game as an annual event in the future, but let's face it their stadium is as nice and as big as Arute, so its hard to force the issue now. Plus its not like we are paying them for the game.

Now as for the game at St. Peter's - that's another issue. Personally, I'd would have forced them in to a home game or dropped them all togeather. In fact, I'd rather host DIII Western Conn. (another SPC opponent) or take a payday from any PL, Ivy, MEAC, or A-10 school.

Personally I think a game against Southern for you guys is not only a no win situation but very dangerous. If you beat them everyone says you should because you guys are 1AA. If you lose then you lose the recruiting wars in CT. You also get a black eye because you are 1AA and they are DII.

Southern could compete for the short term in the NEC as could CW Post. In a year or two they will not be able too, but for now both of these teams are dangerous.

The teams scheduled this fall are fine! (However I don't like playing down (Southern CT), but we have to give some to play up (Georgia Southern). It's just that we have to play away 2 too many times. One more season like the last 2 and a NEC championship will "prove" the program.
I would hope that it will grow even further.

And just think.. A Georgia Southern win would be HUGE!!!!!

RULER: Southern / CW Post could compete short term in NEC??? but in a yr or 2 they will not be able to? You mean...because of the scholarships in I-AA football offered now will greaten the talent in the NEC? Or you think Southern is looking to become D1?- ...never, CT is too small, too many D1 schools, not enough state $.
