No early press about the Central Squad? WHATSUPWITDAT? As usual, the season can go one way or another. Alot of ???????? with the incoming freshmen and Xfers. WE will have to see, But Howie will get every drop out of the team as he ALWAYS does.

I really like the new Asst Coaches. They seem hungry for wins.

We look to be in good shape heading into the season, but I agree that RMU is the early favorite - they have the most returning. The NEC, as usual, will be a wide open race from first place through last. Literaly almost any team can win it all. I have CCSU slotted to finish 3rd this season, but that could change by November. I can't wait to get reports about the new guys.

Pretty amazing to think we were 2 points (if we beat SFPA) from the NIT bid last season. We would have finished tied with FDU for 1st and owned the tiebreaker with the win. We were so close to the postseason, yet so far away. It ended on such a sour note, I really hope they are ready to get back to the NCAAs this year.

As we know, both Lenny and Justin graduated. Hickenbottom and Middelton transfered out. But also, Assistant Coach Chris Sparks rejoined his former boss Glenn Miller down at his new gig in Penn.

So far a total of 6 new players will join the squad (not including any walk ons). Any word on new coaches or other offseason news?

I googled all of CCSU's new recruits to find what I could about them. Several seem to have very good stats and I think the Devils will be very strong in the guard position. However, CCSU seems to loose recruits before the season starts. Winters is the ONLY recriut on last years team that stuck with the Devil's.

IMHO, Howie still needs to look for that evasive 6'8" - 6'9" guy that can fill up the middle and play the low post.

There is a player out of Hillhouse named Chazz Mccarter (6'4" guard and highly recruited by higher profile programs) who gave Howie a verbal commitment in the spring. I have heard nothing of any solif commitment from him yet so I think he went elsewhere.

So much for keeping the coaching staff together.
But, what is the name of the coach that was a CCSU Student manager and went down state for a year or two and came back. Is that Papcas?
