Ok, heres the scoup on recruiting...someone else may be able to correct me if I am wrong, but here is what I hear. Branden McDonald from Greenbelt MD took a visit to CCSU a few weeks ago, but opted for St. Peters. Central is looking to land 3 CT natives. 6'2' Chaz McCarter from New Haven who has interest from CCSU, Highpoint, Umass, St. Joe & Xavier. 6'0'' Kareem Brown from New London who has interest from CCSU, Rhode Island, Umass, Quin, Sacred, St. Boni, & St. Peters. Highly rated New Britain Native Diedrick King is looking at Binghamton, Fordham, and Hartford, but should opt for Central. I would expect him on campus for the Mohegan Sun or the game against Binghamton at Dedrick Gym. Central is also looking at Menghe Nyam from Cameroon, by way of New Hampshire..he has interest from CCSU, Columbia, Hartford, James Madison, Loyola CHI, Southern Miss & SMU..Central is high on the list should visit? Lastly and MOST important 6'7'' Hillary Haley from Fort Washington Maryland,by way of Friendly HS. He is looking at CCSU, Rhode Island, East Carolina, West Virginia and Hartford....Central could snag this kid and make him NEC Freshman of the year next season..he is of starting caliber! So that is what I hear with my ear to the ground. hopefully some one else can Update/correct/confirm.

Info is accurate according to a recruiting website.

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://scouthoops.scout.com/">http://scouthoops.scout.com/</a> (Select - Central Conn)

McDonald did commit to St. Peters. The kid from Ft. Washington, MD is rated very high and would be a great get! The local from New Britain is another who probably will get a lot of attention. I'm not sure of the relationships between these kids and the new staff, but it would be nice to land a few of them.
