I think we should definitely hope Robert Morris wins out or St . Francis (PA) or LIU miraculously moves up to the 3rd spot. We need to get up to the 6th seed. We cannot win at Monmouth or FDU. I also don't want St francis (NY) to get the third spot because they are extremely tough at home. A matchup against RMU or ST. F.PA or LIU are the only games I see us being able to win.

That all being said, we still need win a couple games and secure the 8th seed, which is no easy task. It might all come down to the quinnipiac game.

I like how Howie used Chiera in the QU game. He used him as a spark plug to come off the bench and give us 10-15 minutes. But, if we do end up playing FDU or MU, do you guys think it would be a good idea to start Chiera over Blackwood? We are going to get killed inside anyway, and we are going to need to hit alot of 3s to win. I simply don't trust freshman in big games.

Chiera, Anderson, Jefferson, Pittman, and Obie probobly give us the best shot to win against the top teams.

This is totally off-topic, but does anyone know whatever happened to Antonio McMillian?? He barely ever played, but he could explode off the floor every time he jumped. I always thought he should gotten more playing time.

I was wondering, what is wrong with Middleton? Is he injured?

Middleton is redshirting. To date, he has gained about 30 pounds of muscle since coming on campus last summer. McMillion was never the same after the eye injury. In two seasons he never grasped the plays, he got all the time he should have. As for winning at FDU, that's not true. It is not that tough a place to play (of course we'll see tonight), but it is not in the same category as Monmouth or SFNY. Blackwood has started every game this season, I don't think you can call him a freshmen anymore.

CCSU needs 3 solid games and a "must win" vs. QU. Its still possible (but unlikely) Central could earn a home game as the 4 seed with a 3 game sweep and some help. Either way the road to the NEC finals (and the NCAA tourney) will be more difficult than last year, that's for sure!

Here's my gripe again ... home court advantage is a fair reward for a higher seed finish in the regular season, but what I don't like is the re-seeding of games during the tourney. Underdogs and upsets have almost no chance to win it all. This is basicly like the NFL playoff system where the #1 seed is guaranteed to play the lowest seed left after wild card weekend. This is a playoff and not a tourney. If the the lower half of the quarterfinals are both upsets (7 beats 2 and 6 beats 3), then they must face the higher seed from the top of the bracket (1/8 and 4/5) in the semis, instead of facing each other for a spot in the finals. This tourney is stacked against lower seeded teams and its just the way Monmouth wants it.
