Middleton is redshirting. To date, he has gained about 30 pounds of muscle since coming on campus last summer. McMillion was never the same after the eye injury. In two seasons he never grasped the plays, he got all the time he should have. As for winning at FDU, that's not true. It is not that tough a place to play (of course we'll see tonight), but it is not in the same category as Monmouth or SFNY. Blackwood has started every game this season, I don't think you can call him a freshmen anymore.

CCSU needs 3 solid games and a "must win" vs. QU. Its still possible (but unlikely) Central could earn a home game as the 4 seed with a 3 game sweep and some help. Either way the road to the NEC finals (and the NCAA tourney) will be more difficult than last year, that's for sure!

Here's my gripe again ... home court advantage is a fair reward for a higher seed finish in the regular season, but what I don't like is the re-seeding of games during the tourney. Underdogs and upsets have almost no chance to win it all. This is basicly like the NFL playoff system where the #1 seed is guaranteed to play the lowest seed left after wild card weekend. This is a playoff and not a tourney. If the the lower half of the quarterfinals are both upsets (7 beats 2 and 6 beats 3), then they must face the higher seed from the top of the bracket (1/8 and 4/5) in the semis, instead of facing each other for a spot in the finals. This tourney is stacked against lower seeded teams and its just the way Monmouth wants it.
