I was somewhat suprised by that one. Under Ganulin SFNY has been a very sucessful program in the NEC, but he has been unable to win in the tourney and earn a bid to the NCAAs. I think that is what got him his pink slip. Too bad, he appearded to be a good coach, and certainly recruited well for a small school in Brooklyn.

That is a tough school to recruit for. It is right in the middle of the city. It is very small. The gym is also, very tiny. You guys ever been down there. It kind of reminds you of the SHU BOX at Sacred Heart.

Minutemen finished 16-12 after their 3rd straight losing season under Lappas. He finished with a 50-65 career record at Amherst. CCSU was 2-1 vs. UMass under Lappas with all 3 games played at Mohegan Sun Arena.

UConn assistant Tom Moore is a leading canidate.
