I don't think Hickenbottom is really that talented, nor will he ever be a scorer, but you have to love his hustle. He's basically Obie-lite. Ingo simply isn't ready. Sobers is exactly what this team needs, but he can't score and doesn't have any post up moves. He is athletic and big, and if he plays up to his potential, he should be a 8-10 rebound and 2 blocks a game kind of guy, and score about 6-8 points on put-backs. He needs to step up and do that. I would love to see Brooks play alot of minutes, he sounds like he is very athletic. I don't see this making the playoffs or going very far if they do if nobody else steps up their game. They are simply too young and inconsistent.

CCSU20M - You finally see what I'm saying. Hickenbottom may not have all the skills right now, but he's only a freshman and I personally think he can become an Obie-type player (but probably not that good) as the he gets more time over the years. Although I haven't seen him live I'd suuspect Jason's shot selection needs work. Every 4-yr. player under Dickenman (Payne, Mickens, Edwards, and Robinson) just kept improving year over year and were senior stars. I think guys like Obie, DA, Tristan, Hickenbottom, and Jefferson can do the same thing. Ingo isn't ready, but I'll take 5 quality minutes a game. Sobers isn't up to his potential, but I don't know if its physical (shin splints) or he's just rusty. Brooks can be another solid inside presence as he gains more experience.

I think this is a young and very average team right now. They have a lot of great role players and with good substitution these guys can keep improving for next year. D.A. and Obie are exceptional and must continue to lead on the court. That said, I'd still expect a .500 season and hopefully a first round upset in the playoffs.

Again, on the bright side there was great substitution last night (where ws Mojica?) and they played close and it sounded exciting. Of course the day they shoot 80% FG in the first half they also shoot 30% FT. Also, no shame in losing to FDU, they were the #2 preseason team and are still a favorite to win it all. I'd love to see them again!

it was actually a real good game until the last 5 min. central couldnt put them away or hit a shot after that. Youth, youth, youth... I was actually impressed with Ingos performance, he is coming along. i do give FDU credit.. they are a good team.
