Yes, Lenny has really improved. Each of the guards has played really good at times, but just too often only 1 or 2 of the guys are "on" at the same time, and the rest of the guys are having an "off night." We just need CONSISTANT production from everyone. Same in the frontcourt. Pittman has had too many "off nights" that this young and small team can't afford. With the Obie injury, Rich needed to take a bigger role and he didn't. Hickenbottom has played well and complements Howie's agressive style. I think Mojica and Hickenbottom are nice "sparkplugs" that can really rally the team. D.A. and Obie are great leaders and scorers. Lenny is adding points and Tristan's defense is solid. We all know this team doesn't have height, but CONSISTANT play from everyone is what can make this a great season. Realisticly, we have recruited good kids at this level. There are always some dissapointments (Ricardo Scott, T-Ron, and Morin), but think of all the past suprises - like a Mickens, Payne, or Robinson. Those guys weren't highly recruited. You've got to make good players better - that's all. If Brooks and Sobers can work harder and stay healthly they can make a solid contribution, but they probably won't be the frontcourt studs some were hoping for.

Ok, I'm really looking forward to tonight's game. Its a rare chance for me to catch a game on the TV. The Blue Devils are on a 3-game streak and face NEC leader and defendings champs. This game is a rice rivalry and will tell us if we have a chance to knock off a top-tier team on the road. The NEC is starting to tighten up and there are upsets abound - SHU over Quinn; Wag over SFPA; and LIU over SFNY.

Well, during the final Cham game of last year, How the guards did not perform last year really killed the Bluedevils.
I Think that a win tonight relies heavily on guard play! ( but you cant let their big man inside get 30 points either!!

I think that you will see some time out of Ingo tonight as well to try to keep Balke Hamilton from being a huge force inside.
