Subject: Painfull to watch

I'm sorry, but last night's game was very painfull to watch. 28% from the field in the 1st half won't beat a good HS team! Too many missed shots!!! The 2nd half improved, but when you dig an 18 point hole (larger than vs. UConn), its nearly impossible to win. Chiera shooting is still very cold and I hope he gets his touch back soon, but maybe he should see less time in these games and more time vs. Wagner, SHU, etc. to gain his confidence.

On defense, they were just as bad. We need to stop talking about HEIGHT here, that's not what kills us! Monmouth ran too many pick and rolls for easy layups, plus they hit a ton of 3-pointers from the outside. Overall its was their worst TEAM effort to date. No individual blame, just uninspired play.

I know that Boylan Gym is a tough place to play and steal a win, but that was an awful all-around effort. Yes, the rim wasn't good to us, but the Hawks were playing in the same gym, right? Once again the team is an enigima. Are the real Blue Devils the team that beat LaSalle and Santa Clara, or are they really the team vs. Samford and Monmouth? Only March will tell...

If they make it to March. How many wins do you think the team needs to get in to the NEC tourney? 8 9?

Anybody else think the whole NEC is just alot worse than in recent years? The Central team of a couple years ago would of beaten the current Central team by about 30. It has gotten painful to watch.

You are right about the strength of the league as a whole. Look at the teams that were a force not to long ago. Wagner, LIU, CCSU & Monmouth (even thou they are 6-0 in league, overall they are a 500 team. Some of the teams they lost to early aren't that strong).
