Subject: College Tuition Soars Higher

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.ctnow.com/news/local/hc-collegecosts1020.artoct20,1,3832406.story?coll=hc-headlines-local">http://www.ctnow.com/news/local/hc-collegecosts1020.artoct20,1,3832406.story?coll=hc-headlines-local</a>

Not exactly sports related, but it supports earlier topics regarding state funding. The cost of higher education continues to rise in Connecticut and any increases in student aid is not keeping up with the rise in tution costs, so college is becoming less affordable. Per the Courant article, for a student living on campus, the full cost, including room and board, averages:

CSU - $12,784 ($5,612 tution only)
UConn - $14,894 ($7,490 tution only)

So the bottom line is it only costs about $2k more per year to go to UConn. Once again we must ask, why do CSU students pay so much for so little (in state resources)?

Thats "in state". The cost doubles for out of state.
