they haven't played a game yet, how do you know they don't have a major scorer? Why would you want to bring in a bad seed? When he decides to leave everyone will be saying how bad it is that another player has left the program. and I disagree that being close to home will keep him grounded. Being close to home will keep him closer to high school friends and that's when the trouble starts. Is it worth bringing in someone who may be trouble just because he is a good player? I don't think so.

As for the recruit, I think we all agree a good team attitude is more important than raw talent. Not knowing a thing about this kid other than these web reports, it sounds like he will not be eligible by NCAA standards, so its really moot point right now.

Yes, although we haven't played a game yet what I think EZ-MAC was saying is that it we might not have a real "go-to guy" like we have in the past with a Mickens, Tice, Edwards, Robinson - that is unless Pittman or someone else really steps up. At this point I kinda agree, although that being said this is probably the deepest team Howie has ever had. He could easily play 9-10 deep this year. The good news is that we'll have fresh legs all the time (like SFNY usually does) and a lot of different looks. I just hope winning the NEC is most important to these guys becasue it sounds like they will really have to earn their PT.

I think the he is definitely worth takning a chance in getting. Every time he has been close to home, either at New Britain High or Milford Academy he has been fine. Once he goes far from home he loses focus and always ends up coming back. From what I heard the reson my be because he has a kid. If he some how ends up at central and plays his cards right, everything will be great.
