I agree salmon will bite a fly, unfortunateley with the amount of angling pressure these fish see a day not to mention getting hooked in the ring by numerous anglers will turn them off to the fly. Often if your the first in the pool your succes rate is definately increased. As far as making douglaston a catch release fishery, that would be great but I doubt 375 anglers will pay $15.00 to give it back(I would). It won't be long now the salmon will be gone for another year and we can concentrate on the steelhead.
