Just got back from the sandies and they are hot. Just about every pool I fished resulted in a head shaker or momentary hookup. Hot pink Bags were again the ticket. The water must be fairly cold as the fish were all fairly lethargic although I didn't have my thermometer. Almost all were six to eight pound domestic rainbows...75% females....all had cormorant beak bites healed over.....on their backs just behind the head area...and these are our survivors....kind of boggles the mind to think how many didn't wriggle free from CORMY'S death grip! An interesting note, I never saw a nother fishermen all afternoon (Started at 11:30am) It's a nice time of year to go,lots of solitude, no goons elbowing into the pool in front of you after you catch or hook a trout....Peace on the water. Oh, I did see a FAT buck mink slinking along the slate through the long grass. To him, I was probably the goon....good fishing. walleyed out!
