It's Been raining all day and warm during the day for three days and everything (and I mean everything) is puffed up,High, or BLOWN OUT!!! Mostly discolored water with the larger streams with bigger drainages being quite muddy with debris. I covered alot of ground today doing the census thing with the egg sacks and was a stellar nine (9) for sixteen (16). Really!! For the first time this year, Chartreuse mesh color Bags outfished old reliable Hot pink but hot pink definitely held it's own. Most of the fish were four to six pound males but I did land a 12 lb sow and a around fourteen lb Boar about 34"inches long. Never took any of them out of the water. Sadly, My sports for Both yesterday and today cancelled and missed out on some excellent (Steel)Head-hunting. Most everything is Spring Chrome and fighting like possessed demons from heck. Back on Salmon River tommorrow for a driftboat excursion. If it keeps raining like it did today and stays warm we'll have to start constructing another ARK. We won't need 40 days and 40 nights of rain, another two or so should wash the Eastern Basin shoreline and Tughill Plateau into the Lake. Stay Tuned Steelhead Rangers and Mouseketeers. Good Fishing. Walleyed Out!
