THIS IS YOUR SHAD HOTLINE REPORT FOR 3/21/01 BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE DELAWARE
RIVER SHAD FISHERMEN'S ASSOC.

NOW FOR THE LATEST.

JACK SEBZDA, FOUNDER OF THE MAIN LINE FLY TIERS, REPORTED THE FIRST SHAD OF
THE SEASON. ON 3/12 ON A RISING TIDE JACK CAUGHT 1 BUCK 3# AND 1 ROE 5.5# .
CONGRATULATIONS.

MARK BORIEK NJ SENIOR FISHERIES BIOLOGIST ADVISED RUSS ALLEN WAS IN THE BAY
THE OTHER DAY NETTING. NO SHAD WERE IN THE NETS; STRIPERS ARE BEING NETTED IN
GOOD NUMBERS.

THE WATER TEMP WAS 45 DEGREES, WITH THE COLD NIGHTS AND SNOWMELT KEEPING
THE
WATER TEMPERATURE DOWN THE REAL START OF THE RUN IS 2-3 WEEKS AWAY.

THE SHAD CLUB SEASON KICK OFF MEETING IS WEDNESDAY 3/21 AT THE SE- WY- CO
FIRE HOUSE ON RT# 378 DON'T FORGET THIS MEETING STARTS A HALF-HOUR EARLIER,
AT 7:00PM, SO THE KIDS CAN GET HOME AT A DECENT HOUR. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.
