"I don't know what would make me think that. I guess it's because I was someome evil stally's mare once and he did that. He even would kill his foal if it wasn't up to his standards. I only ever had one foal of his, but I saw what he would do if the foal was weak or something and I couldn'tlet it happen to my foal. So I hid when I had my colt, Champ, then I snuck us away." Mariyah says with tears in her eyes. "It's just really hard for me to let go of my past when things like this keep happening." she says then looks at Taker. She then looks at Risk and says, "I wonder where he got the color from. I don't have anyone in my family that color or even close. I guess it came from his sire. Ugh. How I dred evil stallions. They want a mare to mate with then have his foal then mate again. The stallion I used to belong to would always mate with me then he would kepp doing it like every 15 minutes even after I was pregnant. He would keep it up until I was about to have my foal. He only did it to me. No other mare because he said that I was his prize mare and that I was his queen and he could do whatever he wanted with me. I hated him so, but could do nothing. I tried to object once and he nearly killed me. That's why I do not fight back against stallions." Mariyah shakes the thoughts out of her head and walks a few steps. She haults and begins to graze, wondering what Heart Taker's reaction would be to hearing all about her past.

Risk trots over on spindlely legs and begins to nurse.
