Subject: A new day

Beep...beep....beep... is all you hear throughout the house. Groaning, Jamie hits the alarm off and opens his eyes. He smiles, thinking of the day he's gonna have then slides out of bed and walks into his bathroom. He turns on the water in the shower and waits for it to get hot. While he's waiting, Jamie walks over to his dresser and picks out his clothes for today then walks back into the bathroom......30 minutes later......

He walks downstairs and into the kitchen. "Hey Patrick. How is everything today?" Jamie asks as Patrick walks in.

"Oh everything's good. The horses are fresh this morning and healthy as ever. When are the new arrivals coming?" Pat answers.

"That's good. Ummmm, I think around noon. I'm pretty sure that's what the guy said, but you know how traffic is." Jamie replies getting a breakfast bar out of the cubboard. Whistling for his dogs, he walks outside with Patrick with Sarge and Dasha right on his heels. Walking into the barn, they get greeted by whinnies. It feels bare, like there's a part of the ranch missing, but that's all about to change. "I'll help turn out, but leave Rock up. I'm gonna ride take him over to see Beth in a little while." Grabbing Zaya and Montana out of their stalls, Jamie heads for the mare pasture. He lets them go then heads back to the barn. Pat had already taken Wind out, so he grabs Firework and takes him to his pen. Pat takes Firecracker to his pen. They head back to turn out the last one. Jamie grabs Patriot and takes him to his pen. Patriot is Pride and Whiskey's offspring and the only one of the foals that Jamie kept.

Walking back to the barn, Rockstar whinnies, wanting badly to be let out like the rest. Jamie smiles and rubs his head then leads him to a washrack. There, he grooms and tacks Rock up. "I'm off, Pat. I'll be back later." Jamie says them clicks to Rock and they walk off. "Ok boy, we'll have a good gallop in a little while, but we've gotta warm up first. We're going to see Bethan today. Man I haven't seen her in a while. I've been so busy lately." he says talking to Rock and himself.

After 30 minutes, they arrive at Beth's. Jamie swings off Rock, walks him up to the barn, and places him into and empty stall. "I'll be back in a little while, boy." With that, he walks off to find Bethan. Of course, she's riding when he finally spots her. Not wanting to break her concentration, he quietly walks up and sits in the small bleachers by the arena and watches.......
