If you're curious about the play, you can rent the 1941 film adaptation with Wendy Hiller, Rex Harrison, Robert Morley and Robert Newton. Morley plays Barbara's father in the movie, and DW will play the same part on stage.

How long is it? The Roundabout finally posted the runtime of the theatrical production now that they're actually performing it for audiences and it's - no kidding - two and a half solid hours!

I think the movie is about 2-hour long.

I saw a preview of "Major Barbara" last Sunday. A great production and DW is just brilliant. Don't bother with the film -- the original play is very different and much better (and funnier). Just GO!

Anything being organized for July 29 (Mr. Warner's sixtieth birthday)?
