Thanks to you all, I just had to read the book for myself, so I picked it up at the library yesterday--it's so popular I had to place a hold on it! Unfortunately, I read so slowly I'll never finish it before it's due back, so if I like it, I'll have to buy a copy. *Or* ...

But, coincidentally, I mentioned the book to a male friend, and I was surprised that he'd heard of it ... In fact, he invited me to borrow *his* copy. He read it 15 years ago and loved it! I'm astounded, especially after Wini's comment that all women should read it, because this is the same guy who complained that The Sixth Sense was a "chick flick"!

Don't hold your breath for my review though; the way I read, it could be *years* before I get back to you! It's a thick one (like me)! ;-)

I'm sure there'll be room for DW to play more than one character in my imagination! Merlin, Gorlois ... Hey, if he can do it in Quest of the Delta Knights ...

Hey Suky!
We'll read it together. My re-reading it is more like reading it for the first time, what with my great memory. With so little time for "pleasure reading", my pace sounds exactly like yours. (So what else is knew!)

It was great to hear that some male friends out there have read and enjoyed it too. Boy, I hope I didn't offend anyone out there with that comment!
