he cantered around her in a series of wild bucks and leaps. when he settled down she kept him in a smooth canter. after a while his inside ear started to flick inwards and finally focused on her. then he started to slowly lower his head until it was almost touching the ground and he started to grind his teeth together. she still drove him on for a few minutes then dropped her gaze to her feet and slowly turned around, facing away from the mighty stallion. she closed her eyes and after a few moments she heard the soft footfalls on hooves in the sand, then felt the warm breath on her neck. she walked forward, the stallion following her and then she stopped and turned around. she paused and slowly, so she wouldnt spook him, she lifted her hand and rubbed his forehead. she walked to the side of the yard and took the makeshift halter off the fence. she slipped it on with no problems and started to walk across the soft green grass with the handsome stallion in tow.
