Claire woke up in forest and felt her stomach turn. She vomited, rolled over, and tried to re-think what had happened. The caravan had been attacked...and there was pressure on her back... Reaching around, she felt her shirt was sticky with drying blood.
The paper! She pulled it out and tore it open. Managing to sit up, she took out a little of the powder that was in the packet and put it on the wounds she could reach. They burned then tingled as the powder worked of slowing any of the bleeding and cleaning the wounds.

Claire was disoriented. When she tried to stand, her world spun. Slumping against a large tree with fuzzy moss, all she could ascertain was that she was somewhere in the Basin. The world went dark again as she fell asleep from exhaustion.
