Chapter 118

Michael ordered room service and when it arrived, they quickly ate. When the waiter from room service returned to their room to clear the dishes, Michael also ordered a coffee tray with a tray of small cakes and a picture of milk sent to their penthouse just before seven.

After dinner, Nikita took a shower in their ensuite while Michael gave Adam a bath in the other bathroom.

“Do I have to go to bed right away, Daddy?” Adam pleaded as he splashed happily.

“No. You can stay up for a while.” Michael replied. “We’re having company.”

“We are?” asked Adam as he looked up from his bath toys amidst the soap bubbles around him and gazed quizzically at his Daddy. “Who?”

“My lawyer and a friend of hers.” Michael replied.

“Why?” Adam inquired.

“I thought you might like to thank Madeleine for being able to call Nikita your Mommy.” Michael said with a smirk.

“Okay Daddy.” Adam said happily as he continued to play with his bath toys.

“Michael.” Nikita said softly in admonishment from the doorway, where she stood wrapped in her hotel bathrobe; a white towel twisted around her hair as she gazed lovingly at his handsome face. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”

“Adam” Michael said, not yet responding to his wife, “I want you to play quietly for a minute, okay? I’ll be out in the hallway with your Mommy.”

“Okay Daddy.” Adam said as he smiled at Nikita. “Hi N---I mean Mommy.”

“Hi Adam.” Nikita replied with a sweet smile. “You sit very still while your Daddy’s out here with me, okay?”

“Okay.” Adam replied happily.

Gently Michael edged Nikita out into the hallway and quietly shut the door behind him.

Without a word, and as deliberate as any jungle cat, Michael quietly pressed his wife up against the wall. Gently he loosening her bathrobe and began kissing her neck while caressing her nude curves with both hands.

“Michael.” She moaned in delight.

“Yes.” He said, finally answering her question with a slight growl, as his hands paused in their pursuit of pleasure. Lifting his head, he stared into the crystal blue eyes he adored. “I enjoy hearing Adam call you that name.”

Nikita just smiled tenderly and Michael felt a fierce pride and possessiveness well up inside him as he gazed at the angel in his arms who was staring at him adoringly.

Even in a plain white bathrobe, with no makeup and her hair wrapped tightly in a white towel, his wife was still an incredibly beautiful woman. It was a ‘look’ not many women could carry off as well, and Michael knew it was much more than her physical beauty that contributed to it.

‘Mon Dieu! I can hardly believe it!’ Michael thought in wonder. ‘How did I merit an angel who adores me from the depths of her beautiful soul?’

“Michael?” Nikita inquired softly as she lovingly scanned his handsome face. “What are you thinking about my love?”

“Just how happy I am that you’re my wife Kita and that we’re going to have our own child. It’s what I’ve wanted since we first met.”

“Really?” Nikita whispered with a shy smile, shamelessly asking for more compliments.

Michael gazed at his bride with a loving smile. “Yes, really. You have no idea how happy I am knowing that you’re going to be the mother of my child, chérie! My God… you’re beautiful! How did I ever live without you?”

‘Ohhhh….’ Nikita thought as she practically melted in her husband’s arms. ‘He’s mine! My husband… my gorgeous husband! Oh my God… the way he looks at me!’

“Oh Michael, I love you.” Nikita said softly as she lovingly held his passion lit face gently between both her hands.

“And I love you too, Madame Samuelle.” Michael whispered adoringly as he watched in amusement as her cheeks flushed. “If we had more time right now I’d show you how much. Unfortunately,” he said as he glanced at his watch, “it’s six fifteen and Adam needs to get out of that tub and you need to get dressed before our guests arrive.”

“All right, my love.” Nikita said quietly, smiling lovingly. “Are you going to change too?”

Michael looked down at his blue jeans and his green t-shirt.

“No. I’m comfortable like this and Madeleine and Leon are both friends.” He said in explanation. “Madeleine likes you Kita, so you don’t have to fuss with your appearance for her either. Just be yourself and hopefully we’ll all enjoy each other’s company.”

“All right, Michael.” Nikita said quietly after she had kissed him softly. “I’ll need to hurry… it takes a while to dry my hair.”

Michael turned back to the bathroom and his son then, regretfully watching his wife’s slim form hurry back to their bedroom.

‘Later…’ he promised himself, closing his eyes in anticipated rapture as he pictured his plans for later. ‘Oh yes… later….’
