Subject: Saw Megane cc and 307 today at car dealer

Hello,
this morning, my girlfriend I went to Renault's local dealer (Grenoble France) to see the Megane cc, as well as Peugot's to see the 307 cc.
At Renault's, there was a megane cc in the showroom,
but the salesman told me that testdrives would not be possible until next week.
It was possible to get in the car though, so we tested the comfort of a "luxe authentique diesel" model. It was not possible to see it with the roof open, nor to start the engine. Here are a few impressions we had...

*The good things, in no particular order :
-The car is really beautiful !
-The trunk is really large.
-There is more room for the feet in the backseats than it seems, but not so much for the head, even in the front seats, and I'm not very tall (1m75)

*The bad things, no order as well :
-didn't like the colors outside and inside : (i think it was "gris hologramme" : really reminded me my grandfather's old brown Citroen BX !!
- the inside is quite small, but hey, it's a coupé ! (and it's no problem to put a children on the backseats, even with only two doors upfront)
- the rubber system for the contact between the windows and the roof looks cheap (particularly compared to the one used in the 307, wich is more like the one used for the Avantime, for those who know...), and i wonder how it will go as time goes by, worrying me a little about wind noise and above all rain infiltrations...

So a few little disappointments, but also a few good surprises, that makes a balance !

After that, we went to Peugeot, to see the 307cc. It was possible to test drive it, but when we arrived, the shop was ...closed !
There was the testdrive model on the street though, and it's true that the finition looks much better and much more sportive. But I can't tell much more for now, i'll try to testdrive it soon... and hopefully the megane next week, even if I'm not in a hurry, as I plan to buy my cc not before the Spring.

My choice will be the Megane anyway, but it's mainly because I'll get a better discount as my stepfather is a (retired)Renault salesman, (and also because of the cool features such as tyre pressure control or hands free card system) !
