Legolas resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Simply because the band has metal barbs attached." Legolas didn't want to recount what happened but for some reason he wanted Aragorn to know what happened. "The barbs are attached to the inside of the band." Legolas reached over the ran his finger on the outside of the band. "And when they put it on you, they push them into your skin and muscle and latch it on. Then if you ever get the urge to take it off, you must rip out the barbs at the same time. As they they have pointed end that will tear whatever is in it's path when you take it out." Legolas smiled grimly, staring at Aragorn.
