Legolas numbly shook his head. He shakily stood up on the branch. Aragorn shouted his name again. It was right underneath him. The noise made Legolas jump and his foot slipped on the brach and sent him falling backwards. His back hit one of the branches on the way down, the rough bark scraping his bare back. His arms shot out and tried to grab a branch but his fingers brushed against it. He tried again and his hand wrapped around it. The jerk from his sudden stop probably would have dislocated his wrist if he hadn't been able to get a leg underneath him at the same time. Legolas regained his balance and leaned up against the tree, wincing as it touched his back. He stayed there for a minute, calming himself down. He looked down at his arms and chest and was glad he only had a couple minor scratches from smaller branches. 'If only an elf could see me now. Whatever happened to my elven grace.' He was closer to the ground now and could see the ground through the leaves.
