I have a sony Clie with Palm 4.0 already on my laptop and when I try to hot sync with Palm IIIc I get this error message "The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again. "

I'm using the USB port and when I plug the USB port to the slot, the computer does not indicate that it detects anything but I know the port works because it works with the Sony clie. And when I try to hot sync with Palm IIIc, nothing happens, not like the other one which verifies the user and so on, nothing shows up at all on the screen. Please help me resolve this problem. Is there anyway to hot sync to two different brand of palm on one palm software? I know I can create another user under the palm desktop software but would it work since its two different brands? And How can I hotsync with the USB port if it is not detecting anything?
