These are always difficult to diagnose in this format. I've also never dealt with anyone trying to run devices from two different Palm OS based maunf off the same PC.

You say you already have a Clie on the PC. Now your trying to add a Palm IIIc. So you pluged the Palm into another USB port? I see your running XP. Does the PC respond in "plug n play" mode to the IIIc when you connect the device?

Are you trying to sync the Palm IIIc using the Clie's hotsync manager and version of the Palm Desktop? It's possible that the Clie version might not be compatible with non-clie devices. I also wonder if there may be potential system conflicts if you try and use two different Palm Desktops on the same PC.

You may want to try and find someone local to help you out. Are you in the Boston area? If so, come to one of our meetings. If not, check the list of groups at the InterPUG web site for a group in your area.
