As far as I know, all the the Vx's were 8Mb units. Provided you have NOT put any data in yet, I would make sure it has a full charge and try a hard reset to completely clear the memory. If you still see 2Mb, then perhaps the unit has a technical issue that is keeping it from seeing/accessing the other 6Mb of RAM.
