In reply to: red ink 's message, "Palm M505 will not sync using xp home edition" on 20:51:15 01/17/04 Sat

- Is the 505 fully charged?
- Can I presume the M505 worked properly on your previous PC?
- Is the M505/cradle recognized by XP? (When you pluged them in the first time, did XP respond by identifing them?)
- Hotsync by serial or USB?
- Do you have the Palm hotsync icon in the Windows icon tray?
- Are all of the conduits properly set?
- Do the hotsync ID's on the 505 and the desktop program match?
- Did you verify that this 505 cradle is not one of the units involved with the electrostatic discharge (ESD) problem:
http://www.palmone.com/us/support/m50XUSBcradle.html
- Did you upgrade the Palm desktop over the existing version?
- When you push the hotsync button on the 505 cradle, is there any indication from the PC that they are communicating (ie a pop up screen)?
- What make and Model PC?
