Not sure if they wuld do well there. But shetlands are extremely hardy animals, it gets up to the 90's with high humidity and down below zero here. they tolerate that temperature range very well.
we only shear once a year. some do it twice, depends on your goals( selling wool) and climate.
We've been with out power so things have been a bit interesting ere to say the least.
