Subject: Need Help w/ Toledo Area Birding

Hey all,

Now that I have just about plastered you Ohio net users with questions regarding Toledo area birding, I have found this message board. Some of you may have already seen my post on Ohio-Birds, and some of you may even have received an email from me. Please excuse my multiple intrusions.

I am from Austin, Texas, and I will be visiting the Toledo area during Thanksgiving week. I don't get a chance to visit your area often, so I'm very interested in seeking out species I haven't seen in some time.

I am hoping that someone will be able to give me some tips for birding in the Toledo area. I do have some specific species I'd like to ask about, but I don't want to waste everyone's time with that if they're not interested.

A search of the internet has helped me find locations to bird in the area, but experience compiling rare bird alerts and working on checklist committees in central Texas has taught me that there is no better way to get info than to pick the brains of those with local knowledge.

Is there anyone who can spare some time to share some tips?

Best regards,
Shawn Ashbaugh
