Subject: Ottawa NWR shorebirds

13 species of shorebirds at the Ottawa NWR birders' candy store on Monday July 16. Best were 1 Stilt Sandpiper, 1 Dunlin, and 1 Wilson's Phalarope. Other species included Killdeer, Greater and lesser Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper, Short-billed Dowitcher, Common Snipe.

Also of some note were 1 Snowy Egret, 2 immature Hooded Mergansers, and 3 adult and 4 downy young Common Moorhens.
