Subject: Follow-up on Irwin

Thanks to all for the comments on the activity at Irwin. I wanted to update you on some recent conversations I've had. I did call Secor and they were very helpful...referring me to the DNR officer in charge of Irwin. She called me back within 20 minutes, and we had a very good conversation.

She picked up this territory in June, and quickly noticed the problem. Since then, she has ticketed and successfully prosecuted a number of individuals for "indecent exposure" and even some repeat offenders. She is placing a high priority on the situation, and was really happy that I contacted her.

I'm not going to post her name and number here, but if you notice any of this offensive behavior (I'm trying to be politically correct here)...particularly if it affects a child like it did my daughter, please contact me directly and I will put you in touch with her. She asks that you try to have descriptions of people, vehicles, etc.

And now folks, let's get back to birding. Thanks for allowing me to vent.
