Subject: Wintergarden Birds

In a two-hour walk this morning (9/6/03) covering less than half of Wintergarden Park, I was able to turn up 39 species of birds including 11 warblers, Magnolia being the most numerous (probably becaue I find it so easy to identify). Noteworthy sightings were an immature black-billed cuckoo, new for the park's list of birds, and an immature red-headed woodpecker, only the second red-headed ever seen at the park to my knowledge.
