Thanks Dan for the info. This will likely come in handy in the near future. Last Sunday I checked the impoundments north and west of the observation platform. Not quite dry as a bone but nearly so. I walked right through the impoundment north of the platform and only encountered soggy ground once.

I did have ~50 Least Sandpipers in the area and a smattering of other shorebirds, one of which I would call a Western Sandpiper. (slightly decurved bill, black legs, very white below and rustier than the other peeps that were present).
