Subject: Ottawa NWR, G.W. Warbler, Bobolink

I stopped at Ottawa NWR after birding at Magee this morning (Sunday). The bird of the day was a Golden-winged Warbler seen along the blue trail, south of the parking lot. This bird was on the south side of the large woodlot at ONWR.

Later, on my way home I drove down Krause Rd. looking for the Upland Sandpipers (reported to me yesterday). No luck on the Uplands but I did spot about 6 Bobolinks close to Krause Rd, adjacent to the Ottawa property at the corner of Krause Rd and Rt 2. My guess is there were a fair number more in this field (they blend incredibly well with all of the dandelions).

Good Birding!

BZ
