I jumped to conclusions. About twice a year I see advertisements on the board and just delete them before they get much time to detract from the value of the service. I was suspicious when I saw the Level3 Chicago address, but rather than delete the message, which would have been unfair, I decided to have a little fun with it. I was not familiar with Scott as a poster, but as I look back through history, I can see he is a well deserving participant.

And you are right regarding the tone of the posts, they were in jest.
