Subject: Nesting(!!!) Black-necked stilts

There are now 4 Black-necked stilts at Point Mouillee in MOnroe Co MI.

And, rather amazingly, a pair appears to be nesting. Experienced observers witnessed a male replace a female on a nest just the other day, and others have talked of their territoriality.

And, as if that is not enough, the Common eider remains, and will likely continue for awhile anyway, as it appears to be in heavy moult.
