I finally made my first Pt. Mouillee walking trip. Greg's tips for bringing a bicycle, bottle of water and spotting scope are well advised. I was fortunate to run into a very helpful birder named Skip Zabel who was most gracious to spot many life birds for me with his spotting scope.

*(indicates life bird)

*Redhead
*Goldeneye
*Black Necked Stilt (saw only one--no nest spotted)
*Common Eider (female)
*Common Moorhen
*Red Necked Phalarope
*Red Knot
*Greater Scaup
*Lesser Scaup
Dunlin
American Shoveller
American Widgeon
Peeps (sp?)

There were many Marsh Wrens heard.

Although the walk was long and productive, next time I will bring a bicycle.
