Subject: Peregrine Falcon

Howdy all, A couple of exciting birds today. First the Peregrine. At about 10am this morning (Sunday) I nearly hit a Peregrine Falcon in flight with my car. I was east bound on Cedar Point Rd, near Lalendorf in Oregon, directly across from the refinery. The bird was in my face in the windshield and veered in a nick of time. Cluched in it's talons was likely a house sparrow.

I believe it had just made the capture because it continued across the road and down, swooping very low to the ground before turning west and flapping like crazy to gain some speed and altitude. The Falcon then headed towards downtown.

Very exciting!
