If you are looking to add to your year list, I would definitely head south for that bird instead of up here. MUCH more reliable in Adams county or Crown City Wildlife Area (I think that's the name of it...never been there, but I'll bet you know where I'm talking about).

In any event, if you will be in the Oak Openings anyway for Lark sparrow or just general birding, this year's lone report of Blue grosbeak comes from Whitehouse-Spencer road, just north and east of Reed road, which is east of Oak OPenings park itself. At the NE corner of that T-section, there is an empty lot, open and brushy. Looks junky, just what Blue grosbeaks like. Whitehouse-Spencer is 1 road east of State route 295.

Mind you, Elliot Tramer, Karl Overman and I looked over that area on May 18 to no avail.

If you track one down, let us know!
